7-Day Canyon Spirit & Red Rock Wonders: May 10-16, 2027 - $4,350
Departure: May 10-16, 2027 | Denver → Moab → Grand Junction
Fly into Denver and fly home from Grand Junction, CO
Discover the American West on an unforgettable journey that blends luxury rail travel with iconic national parks and monuments, and the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado and Utah.
Your adventure begins in vibrant Denver, the Mile High City and gateway to the Rocky Mountains. With its historic architecture, thriving arts scene, and dramatic mountain backdrop, Denver blends rich Western heritage with modern sophistication.
The highlight of the journey is a spectacular rail adventure aboard the luxurious Canyon Spirit, an exciting new scenic train experience introduced for the 2026 season. Operated by the same company behind the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer, this stunning rail route carries travelers through landscapes rarely seen from the highway. Canyon Spirit is essentially Rocky Mountaineer’s “American cousin,” delivering the same legendary hospitality and luxury rail experience through the dramatic canyon country of the American Southwest.
Traveling only during daylight hours so that none of the scenery is missed, the train winds through towering mountain passes, alongside the rushing Colorado River, and into the vast red rock desert of Utah. Guests relax in panoramic glass-dome coaches while onboard hosts share fascinating stories about the region’s history, geology, and wildlife.
The onboard experience is nothing short of exceptional. Throughout the journey, you’ll enjoy gourmet meals inspired by regional flavors and prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast and lunch are served at your seat while attentive hosts ensure your comfort. A full selection of beverages—including wine, craft beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks—is included throughout the journey. Your group travels in the train’s Premium Class with exclusive lounge access, where guests can relax, socialize, and take in the spectacular scenery.
Unlike traditional overnight trains, Canyon Spirit guests spend each evening in charming towns along the route. Our journey includes a stay in the historic mountain resort community of Glenwood Springs, known for its famous hot springs and picturesque setting in the Rockies.
The rail adventure continues to the adventure capital of Utah, Moab, surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes and some of the most celebrated national parks in the United States. Here we explore the remarkable natural wonders of Arches National Park with a knowledgeable local guide. Home to more than 2,000 natural stone arches, this extraordinary park showcases some of the most iconic geological formations in the Southwest, including the graceful Delicate Arch, towering sandstone fins, and sweeping red rock vistas.
From Moab we travel to the charming western Colorado town of Grand Junction, nestled between dramatic canyon landscapes and rolling vineyards. This region is often referred to as Colorado Wine Country, thanks to its sunny climate and fertile valleys along the Colorado River.
During our stay we explore the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado National Monument, where towering sandstone monoliths rise from deep canyons and winding scenic drives reveal panoramic views across the high desert plateau.
Our time in Grand Junction also includes a relaxing wine tasting at a local winery, where guests sample locally produced wines while enjoying vineyard views framed by dramatic red rock cliffs.
Deluxe motorcoach transportation, 6 nights in carefully selected hotels, and Welcome and Farewell Dinners complete this premium experience. Every detail is thought of so you can relax, savor, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and adventure of the American Southwest.
